A good place to come to avoid the typical lunchtime crush up here. Lunch specials available for $10. Otherwise made to order, so you pay a few bucks more. Larger variety of well executed South Asian entrees. Mostly Thai & Vietnamese.
Spicy and tasty food!
Best thai food around! Love the bubble tea. The owner is quite nice also.
I could write a very detailed description of all the food which was ordered, but I feel it can all be summed up by mentioning one item, the so-called "Vietnamese Sandwich." What was promised was "Pan-roasted seasoned pork, Vietnamese sausage, and grilled pork with fresh cucumber slices, cilantro, shredded pickled carrots, and daikon. Top with sliced spicy chills." What was received was 4 inches of bread with a 1 inch piece of pork, some carrots, and a slice of onion. If you haven't noticed, there are a few items missing. Good thing I like bread. Too bad I don't like lackluster food. Very rarely am I offended enough by the quality of food I receive to write a review online. Please don't waste your money.
The curry, cold noodles and Pho are top notch! Customer server is 10 stars and food is super fresh! Best Thai in town!
Loved this place. I had the Peach blossom tofu and it was amazing!!! I saw someone else posted a negative review about it but I loved it. The tofu was perfect and the peach blossom has a nice savory sauce but not overwhelming. This is my new favorite Thai place.
Hidden Gem. They do a great job and care about your experience. I commented once that the their Pad Thai was a little too sweet. Next time back, it was spot on. If you like Thai food, give it a chance. The menu is nice and the prices are very reasonable.
The food is really good and they let you pick how spicy you want it, from 0 to 5, which is great. The Banh Mi sandwich was especially good and at a 4 in spicy level, left a great tingle on the lips! They have Thai tea, with our without Boba, which is really tasty. The service is very good and the staff is nice. It's a small place, but worth a visit.
Love this place. Recommend 10/10
Delicious and able to adjust spices correctly
Bad customer service. Food took over an hour and 15 minutes to travel less than a mile. Average food.
Go for the soups
Good food and friendly day service.
Great food, the curry puffs are amazing!
Very nice staff. Chef came out and introduced him self. Very friendly. Good food.
Good food. Got the vegetarian pad thai, was very tasty!
The best red curry I have ever had. No liquor license so bring your own wine.If you are not sure what to order, try their Red Curry with chicken.
Descent food, atmosphere is nice too.
Best soup!
I had a great experience at sweet basil. The waitress was lovely and everything came out very fast. I would recommend the curry puffs a million times as they were amazing and cooked so delicately. Can't wait to come back!
The chicken was not edible !! It had that horrible old taste and smelt SO bad! After one bite I was almost sick and asked to return it. They had no customer service and offered no help at all! A disappointing experience would not recommend.
The staff here was very courteous and friendly. The owner came out and introduced him self and to check on our experience and was really friendly. We had the calamari with the plum sauce and yellow curry...hands down the best I've ever had..deffinatley recommend trying it when you come here!
I love Thai food but this one would be off my list. Basil fried rice was greasy. Only 3 sticks of chicken satay..Small portions from a overpriced menu.
Good menu. Quality dinner. Friendly staff.
Good food!
Love this place.
My family lives in Tully so we dropped the baby off and ran over to this nearby restaurant for a quiet dinner for our anniversary. Little did I know we would find my new favorite restaurant. The signature Sweet Basil burger is my new favorite burger and cooked to perfection. Medium rare is actually medium rare :) All I could think about was the episode of How I Met Your Mother when they were searching for the perfect burger. "This is no mere sandwich of grilled meat and toasted bread, Robin. This is God, speaking to us through food."
Amazing food and good people to interact with
Worst pad thai I've ever had. The sauce tasted like watered down bbq sauce.
Would not recommend this place at all. Chicken looks like rubber and texture of the food is just disturbing. Worst Thai food I have ever had.
I really liked the food. It was freshly prepared and made with high quality ingredients. The chef/ co owners shop daily personally selecting the best ingredients to prepare. You order a hotness level on a scale of 1 to 5. I got a 3. Just enough to break a sweat but not embarrass my self. Next time I will order level 4 hotness sit in back and request extra napkins and sweat it out! I should have ordered a couple of extra entrees to take home for later. I could REALLY go for some right now.
Excellent customer service and delicious food. Always consistent!
Food is good but a bit pricey
Best Curry in CNY! They do it right!
I ordered the pad Thai to go and it smells like lemon and is not delicious at all. I'm so hungry and that's why I'm eating it. I paid $12 and it wasn't worth it at all. Besides, the plastic bag was torn and all the sauce spilled on my pants.
Awesome!!, great service, delicious!!
I'm from out of town on a business trip and order lunch from here. It was delicious and authentic. They cater to your level of spice, which I loved because I generally love my food spicy. Definitely try the Thai Tea.. It was amazing!
Just okay. Service was good. They were very nice. Food was so-so.
Absolutely disgusting... Soup was super salty and thick... noodles were bland, vegetables were undercooked-when sent back, the owner just doused it in sauce and called it good.
the spring rolls are fresh as well as everything else.
Would not recommend. Terrible tasting food. Go somewhere else.
Really friendly staff and fantastic food
My boyfriend and I went here for dinner. We ordered the Vietnamese sandwich which had almost no meat in it and was far too spicy. When we told our server we didn't like it she responded, "Do you think just because you don't like something you don't have to pay for it?" The manager didn't offer us anything and told us to not order that next time. This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. Needless to say, we will not be back.
The Pho was good but it was WAYY to expensive for such a small cup of noodles and soup for 14 dollars...2 times the price of Mai Lan and 1/2 their portions. New century's soup was more tasty and prices are better (ONLY 8 DOLLARS FOR A LARGE BOWL.) mean while they charge 14 dollars for a much smaller bowl. Mind you I was not full from just eating that 1 small bowl of pho.
Delicious food!
Delicious food and really nice staff. Quick service for mid-day lunch.
Some of my favorite food to get. I love the Tom Yum soup and red curry especially. Great atmosphere, great food, great prices.
great
I was a bit disappointed with Sweet Basil, I admittedly do have high standards for Thai food but I expected it to be pretty decent from what I've heard. I ordered the pineapple cashew noodle dish and it was a very dry when it arrived as a delivery. The flavor profile itself was balanced and had the right amount of spice. The dryness in the chicken and noodles spoiled it for me though. The experience might be better in house, but the dish I had could have used a bit more care. I'll update the review if I check it out again and get something else. For now, I can only give them 3/5.
Great food. Large portions and very tasty. Waitress was nice and friendly.
